On Earth, Reyes expresses his opinion to Admiral Raines that8️⃣ the SDF attack is tantamount to a declaration of war and that the UNSA should be preparing a counterattack. However,8️⃣ Admiral Raines explains that the UNSA's leaders do not want to escalate the situation, especially during the Fleet Week celebrations8️⃣ where the entire UNSA fleet gathers at Geneva. Invited to enjoy the festivities, Reyes links up with his wingman Salter8️⃣ and is assigned the experimental E3N for evaluation. Suddenly, the UNSA's AATIS defense cannons, hijacked by the SDF, open fire8️⃣ on the assembled fleet; simultaneously, an SDF assault force invades Geneva. Reyes manages to fight his way to the AATIS8️⃣ control tower, where he shuts down the AATIS cannons and apprehends Riah, the SDF spy responsible for sabotaging them. Reyes8️⃣ then accompanies the surviving UNSA ships into orbit to oppose the attacking SDF fleet. The SDF's flagship, the Olympus Mons,8️⃣ suddenly arrives and destroys more UNSA ships before it is forced to retreat. The battle is a disaster for the8️⃣ UNSA, as only two ships survive the battle: the carrier Retribution, to which Reyes is assigned, and the destroyer Tigris.
Some8️⃣ time later, the UNSA honors Reyes and the Retribution crew's sacrifice, stating that their destruction of the SDF shipyard was8️⃣ a decisive victory and that the SDF has been all but destroyed as a result. Salter, who is one of8️⃣ only four survivors from the Retribution, salutes a war memorial in Geneva listing the names of all of the UNSA8️⃣ soldiers who died in the conflict, including Reyes.
During the credits, the recorded messages of some of the deceased Retribution crew8️⃣ may be heard.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare received "generally favorable" reviews for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the8️⃣ PC version received "mixed or average" reviews, according to review aggregator Metacritic.[41][42][43]
